Embracing New Beginnings: My Journey from Layoff to Entrepreneur

At the beginning of April, after four years as an operations supervisor, I was laid off. It was a moment that could have easily been filled with anxiety and uncertainty, but I chose to see it as an opportunity. One door closes, and another one opens. I began to think about what I truly wanted in a job: more time with my family, enjoying moments and being more present, less stress, and the flexibility to work wherever and whenever. I longed for financial freedom and a passive income.

With these goals in mind, I dove headfirst into the Roadmap course and haven’t looked back since. I was thrilled to discover that I didn’t need to enroll in school to gain these new skills. The course was a step-by-step, beginner-friendly guide to starting a business. I had always dreamed of starting my own business but thought it was out of reach. I didn’t know what product I wanted to sell or what service I wanted to provide. However, as I immersed myself in the course, the wheels started to spin.

I realized I could start by selling The Roadmap with 100% resale rights to set my foundation and build from there. Once I accomplished this, I envisioned turning it into a lifestyle brand, sharing my journey and how I got here. Achieving this goal unleashed my true calling: holistic healing. This is my end game. But before I reach that point, I need to launch one more major venture to stabilize my income. This new project, still in the works, is aimed at helping women everywhere, bringing magic into their lives while supporting their struggles as they provide for their little ones. Stay tuned for more on that!

So, now what? Where do I go from here? How do I continue to make Luna Mama thrive? I keep my head up, manifest my end game, and enjoy the journey. If you can’t enjoy the journey and take time to look around, always chasing the next milestone, you’ll miss out on the beauty of the present moment. We often think, “If I get here, I’ll be happy,” or “If I just did this, I’d get that.” STOP! Look at where you are now and reflect on how you got here. Those relationships and friendships ended because you learned what you needed from them. Every decision, even the ones that didn’t seem great at the time, brought you to this moment.

If you’re not waking up in the morning, soaking in what you’re grateful for, and breathing in what you’ve worked so hard for, then you’re not truly living. Being laid off was a blessing in disguise, opening many new opportunities. It was my spiritual guidance that gave me the gift of understanding. They listened to my struggles and desires, allowing me to pursue my dreams.

I now have a business! I get to spread awareness to all women and anyone who needs to hear this: life is meant to be enjoyed! Break free from the norm and pursue what you’ve always wanted. Be you!

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let's continue manifesting our dreams and enjoy life's beautiful journey together.
